We start at mile 111 (see mileage scale on the right of the map) in a three lane - 55 mph (yellow colored road) section.

Notice the facilities listed at exit 110? There are several motels which accept pets (blue print). The gas station on your right (west) is open 24 hours (orange print) .

After the Merchant Drive (exit 108) ramp, you should move to the right lane in the next two miles since the two left lanes exit on I-640E towards Knoxville (see red "traffic move" instructions printed on the map).

This is great information for those driving an RV or towing a house trailer . . . after all, you don't want to get blocked by an 18 wheeler truck alongside you at the last minute.

Immediately after exit 1, move into the right two lanes in preparation for the two lane exit ramp up on to I-75/I-40. (see red "traffic move" instructions printed on the map).

On the ramp, as soon as possible. move to the left lane - this will ensure that you are in the correct lane when the two lane ramp merges to become one lane as it joins the new freeway (notice the triangular "merge" symbol on map).
